Dear Ryan MS 216 Community,

It is with great pride and excitement that I welcome you to a new school year at Ryan Middle School 216Q, where we are anchored in excellence and committed to the success of every learner. As the first National Blue Ribbon Middle School, we strive each day to create a learning environment that uplifts, challenges, and supports all students in becoming their best selves.

This year, we are proud to embrace our "All In" mantra—a powerful reminder that we are united in purpose and passion. We are All In to inspire, empower, and ignite every student’s love for learning. Our mission drives us to nurture not only academic achievement, but also confidence, creativity, and civic responsibility.

As you drive along the Long Island Expressway, you’ll see our Lion pride boldly draped across the school building—a symbol of our strength, unity, and community spirit. And when you enter our doors, you’ll instantly feel the contagious positive energy of minds at work. There’s a sense of purpose and possibility in every hallway, classroom, and interaction.

At Ryan MS 216Q, diversity is our strength. Our school reflects the rich cultural fabric of Queens, and we are proud to be a place where every voice is valued—students, families, and educators alike. Our inclusive and innovative learning environment fosters curiosity, encourages collaboration, and prepares students for a bright and limitless future.

We are especially proud of our Ryan alumni, who exemplify the values and excellence rooted in their middle school experience. Many of our graduates have gone on to attend New York City’s top specialized high schools, excel in CTE (Career and Technical Education) programs, and pursue higher education at world-renowned institutions—including the Ivy League, such as Harvard University. Many of them continue to serve and uplift our school and community through their professional and civic contributions, a true testament to the legacy of Ryan.
