The Gaming Club

A space for gamers to socialize and play multiplayer board games that challenge and entertain their imaginations. Get your game on after school on Thursday’s from 2:30PM-3:40PM.

Ryan Goes Green!

This program is for students wanting to see the future become more sustainable. You must want to help save the Earth from climate change and put your creative mind to the test of science! See Ms. Tilts for more information!

Dance Up

Dance Up Saturday Academy

This program is a great program to promote their emotional wellness and have them engaged in a unified and safe space at Ryan where they learn and create diverse choreography. Starting on select Saturdays in November from 9AM-11AM until June.

The Student Equity Team is a club that works to make our school, our community, and our world a more equitable place! Join this program to promote EQUITY in our school, our community, and our world. We aspire to make sure that every student at Ryan has the resources and support they need to be most successful!

Project Boost

Project Boost

This is a program targeting students who have demonstrated academic talent, but may not have had the opportunity to develop their talent. Project BOOST will provide students with academic and cultural enrichment experiences (including NYC field trips), test prep services, academic guidance, and community service opportunities.

Robotics

Robotics

The Ryan Robotics team is a competitive group who represents JHS 216 in an international STEM competition. Students work in teams to build robots, program the robots to accomplish missions on an obstacle course, and present an innovative solution to a real world problem presented by Lego.

Ryan Animations

National History Day Club

This is an exciting and competitive club! You will participate in one of the 5 History Day presentation categories to complete with citywide: Documentary, paper, exhibit, performance, or website. You will attend the National history Day Event in NYC in February. Join this club if you have a competitive love for history!

Elected senators who work closely with the S.O. advisors to support of the mission, goals, and core values of Ryan 216. Help raise awareness for different causes, as well as create and facilitate different community projects.

Pretty tough is dedicated to empowering a generation of young women to be bold, authentic leaders in their lives, schools and communities. It’s a movement of real girls, redefining what is beautiful, valuable and possible.

In this program students will be learning about the literary world by diving into the anime culture. By joining this club you will benefit from participating in friendly debates, learning real life events, and make new friends who have the same interests as you do.

GEMMS

At Ryan, a select group young ladies have an opportunity to be a part of a great experience. GEMM stands for Girl Empowerment Movement in Mathematics. This initiative is meant to promote academic achievement and engagement for our young ladies in Mathematics and Science.

This program is a group of 10 responsible and mature 8th graders will learn all about skin prep and practice makeup application. We will cover everything from sanitizing products to contouring and what brushes to use. You will be required to purchase some items on your own. Join this club to enhance your cosmetology skills!

FELLAS

FELLAS

This program is an exclusive advisory program for 8th grade boys. You will be able to be apart of a group of mentors and fellowship. This is a place for the boys to be real and discuss what it means to be a fella. This is invitation only by faculty to potential 8th grade boys a the beginning of the year.
